Our nursery is located close to Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Berlin 's district of Charlottenburg and has been approved by the Berlin Senate as an independent youth welfare service organisation.
Maikäfer is a small institution with 15 children, ranging in age from one and half year old to pre-school. At Maikäfer, we follow the educational framework developed by Maria Montessori. The children are cared for by our three trained staff members Eva, Gabi, and Susi.
Trained staff are supported by various young people on their voluntary social year, as well as by a housekeeper, and, once a week, by experts in music education, sports education, and dance and movement therapy.
What makes us special: we provide a secure environment that allows children's creativity to develop and pursue an integrational approach through music, swimming, physical activities and dance and movement; above all, our children are recognised for their well-developed social skills. |
